So. There are two items of question:
-Since it's obviously torture-Cougar!month, sorry, Anya, I'm thinking of writing out at least preliminary thingie on the incident after which Cougar stopped talking much.
I am considering of partially ripping the Coug plot line from the Pass set which wasn't taken up by Clay in the movie (:-P). I.e., the creepy mutilated person giving him information and begging him to kill him. I will probably expand on more stuff to be credibly traumatizing without physically damaging.
The idea is more or less that he's supposed to go in an enemy structure, go down to the tunnels underneath, and connect them to another system of tunnels by a small series of explosives needed to be done from that side for some reason or another, still working out the details). Except the tunnels are actually a dungeon, and he has to basically make his way through the cells to the locations he needs to explode; path back is cut away by enemy line, communication disrupted by solid rock above and around him. He needs maybe a couple of days through that (and, obviously, the problem are the dying more than the dead, down there).
Queeeestions go along the lines of, the team. I would say that Coug is already with the Losers (because otherwise he wouldn't ever get extracted *coughs*) - who's there? How recently? What are the dynamics and do your characters want to play a specific part in the small story? Any ideas/recommendations/critiques about this 'plot' thing?
- Preliminary post about the overall Max plot.
* NJ?
* How much are we involving Stegler?
* London and Ukraine? Are we doing this subplot, taking care of the team's stray sheep and showing off Jensen's awesome yet again? (I'm for it, even if it'll nooooot be fun on the team.)
* Are we doing the independent nation thing? Or are we going to go for something slightly smaller-scale, like, say, a stronghold with the three remaining snooks, where they're also racing to secure/disarm those before they're shipped somewhere/detonated? (I think following the snooks might be a valid trail, if we want to do this faster/less elaborately, but I'm down with both versions.)
So far, what is likely to happen is:
~ Aisha does asplode Max and Clay; except that they fall in the water. Clay later resurfaces and is retrieved, but he has no memories.
~ Things start filtering back; enough that long-term routines like distress calls come back, and he calls the team in. Cue the team (minus Aisha, it's not certain if they're hunting her, that will depend on how things fall down/develop in the heat of action, but she's likely not with the three remaining Losers) swooping in to retrieve him...
... and running smack in with Max II. Cue more shenanigans, Clay recovering memory, and finishing the job.
Comment away. :)
